How to bypass iQ OBC the right way

To bypass the Club Car iQ OBC properly you need to get a 10,000 ohm pull down resistor. Then you need to go to the 6 pin plug. You can cut the wires, but I have Deutsch pins so I just depinned all the wires from the plug. To do that you use a hook tool to pull out the green wedge lock and then pull back the tabs holding the pins

Now you need the blue and white wire, either cut from the OBC or new wire. Get a male .250 spade connector and crimp the blue wire together with one end of the resistor. This spade connector will plug into the separate gray wire on the OBC that goes to the charger port

Now splice the other end of the resistor to the white wire and apply heat shrink

Now put the connector back together. If you removed the wires make sure to put seal plugs in the open cavities on the connector

This should cause the charger to disable the vehicle when plugged in. If you are using the factory ERIC charger the lockout should work fine. If you are using an aftermarket charger it may not, to make it work add a jumper wire from the negative pin to the 3rd unused pin in the charger plug.
