how many volts?

i was trying to find out how many volts anyone has pushed through a stock motor without tearing it apart, and for that matter, tearing up the rear end or input shaft.

It depends on the type of motor, series or sepex? Stock series motors are pretty tough and usually hold up fine up to 72 volts. I wouldn't try raising the volts on a stock "tin can" motor like the ones club car uses.
