How Do I Make My Golf Cart Faster?

Hello Everyone:

How do I make my Yamaha golf cart faster? I was told there is a way but not exactly sure. Can some send me a diagram or detailed steps? From what it sounded like it wasn't all that hard to do. Any comments would be great.

Yes, removing the governor will give you some speed, however, cause a little more wear and tear on the top end. Bigger tires = more speed as well. Check your rear end oil... has it been changed in a while? It could be old and sludgy, causing drag on the gears. That alone will give you a little extra.

Thanks for the comments. I didn't check the gear oil. I will tomorrow. I tightend down the governor. It seemed to give a litte more speed. I am planning on putting some atv tires and a lift kit in about a week. So hopefully that will ad some more. I saw on a site that there's a a power spring that can be installed on the clutch. I am thinkinng of ordering that too. Any thoughts on that part?
