I have posted several times but the topic light remains red. How do I get it to turn green?

I really need help on the Club Car Gas "My cart has a very bad cold" topic, but I don't think anyone is resonding because the light remains red!

Sometimes things get overlooked maybe, yes...

What are the symptoms?

Started too stall, no "fire", then turn over a few times, backfire, run, the quit again. Seems like fuel being pumped into cylinder, then when the spark plug fires, BAM, it backfires! Then, when the fuel was cleared out, it would run for a short time.

I had a problem with the butterfly valve in the carb. The shaft was very loose, couldn't get the valve to stay closed.

Replaced the carb.

But, still have the backfire issue.

I have ordered an igniter, which I think be only intermittently working.

I have checked the coil, and the rpm limiter, but I don't really know if I did it correctly, so one or both of those may also be the culprit.

Before all this started, the cart would diesel after stopping, and the engine would run backwards. I think the new carb will fix this. That, I have hears, is due to the butterfly valve staying open.

So, that is it in a coconut shell (wouldn't fit in a regular nut shell).

My cart is a 93 DS Club Car.

Thanks,

Have you replace the spark plug? Just 'cause it fires outside the cylinder, don't mean it'll fire under compression. Cheap to replace. I've played hell with firing issues in the past just to find the plug wasn't up to the task.
