Hey gorno, i know you said that you got your radio/speaker console from a friend but i am thinking about building one like it since i like the looks of it so much. Just have a couple questions about it.

What is it made out of?...Wood covered with felt?
More imortantly, How did you attach it to the roof?

The console is made of MDF (medium density fibreboard), and is covered in vinyl. It attaches via 4 - 1/4 x 20 stainless bolts/washers/nuts that are positioned to 4 of the roof dimples. Not easy to lay out, but very sturdy.
