Hi I am currently fixing a 1998 gas golf cart made by EZGO. The gear is not griping underneath. When the steering weel is turned right it always gripsbut if the wheels are in the straightforward position they will not turn left, but if you turn the weels manualy slightly to the left you can use the steering wheel to turn it the rest of the way to the left. This is all while parked if you are drifing the steerin works a little bit better but the geer or whatever it is still slips when turning left...I tried greasing everything and that did not work. The slipping is coming near the base of the steering column. Please help is there somthing I can adjust or micky mouse. I would apreciate an answer if you can help thank you

I am not sure there is an adjustment to one that is that loose , you probably need a new (or good used ) gearbox on the steering column. Sometimes the these kind of parts for several years gas or batt powered will work .

Is there a cheap and preferebaly easy way to patch this broken or worn down tooth; a mickey mouse solution that will last for possibly a summer?

It cost $1,200.00 dollars before it was over and that didn't include what the dental insurance paid!

(sorry, just had to post it, I couldn't help myself)

If it's a broken gear tooth, and you know a real good welder you can build up the broken tooth with weld and get out your files and file the welded tooth until it matches close to the tooth profile and it will run back and forth without binding or catching. Keep in mind this is a "patch" and may last forever if your lucky or 5 minutes. TIG or MIG would be best. Hope this helps.
