Help! My ezgo won't move

I hope someone has some idea's for me. I took off the muffler on my 1991 ezgo 2 stroke gas cart to see if it had any holes because It sounded a little loud. When I put it back together it drove about 100 feet then wouldn't move.

I tried running it without the muffler it still won't go. Things I tried:
muffler off
spark is good
compression is 110
gas is going to carb
it makes the sound like it will run but the belt never engages to run the cart.

Any ideas?

Thanks....Roy

Could be some dirt in the carb. Take the carb apart and give it a good cleaning. If your getting fuel, spark and 110 lbs of compression it should run. 110 lbs is on the low side though.

Thanks I will try that. It just seems to be very sudden to be a carb problem but you never know till you try it.

Tried cleaning carb but the cart still won't move more than a few inches. What else can be checked?

Thanks

If it was running ok before you took the exhaust off make sure you didn't knock a wire loose. Other than that it's hard to say without seeing the cart. Maybe someone else here can give you some things to check...

Will it go in reverse? I know that sounds crazy but our would only go in reverse for a while and I can help you with that. Also, check to see if your belt is on and tight, we knocked ours off once when removing the exhaust.
