Help I Worked On My EZGO and Now It Won't Run

We have an EZGO 36 volt PDS golf cart. Put in new batteries, fully charged, replaced the ITS,solenoid & Curtis controller. Then took the motor off, checked the brushes [they were good] & blew the dust out. We hooked up a voltmeter to it & have 36 volts when we drive it until we stop for a minute or so. Then it drives at 1/2 speed & shows 18 volts. Switching the F&R switch from forward to reverse a few times sometimes restores it back to 36 volts for a short time. We are at a loss & don't know what to do next & would like some advice. Thanks in advance.

Try putting it in diagnostic mode and see what codes come up. Let us know what code(s) you get. There's instructions on the controller cover for diagnostic mode. If the sticker is gone you can get the instruction in the resource section on the forum.

This afternoon we installed a new speed sensor sending unit cord to the Advanced DC motor & that seemed to correct the problem.
The local golf cart shop guy said he never would have guessed that was the problem but was glad it corrected it. He's been in business for years & said it was a new one for him.
