Hello I just purchase a horn kit with wiring and it had no instructions. I mounted the switch connected to the switch and the wires were to short so I twisted another wire to them and took them back to where I mounted the horn under the seat. I then found the horn to have only one connection so I connected a wire ( maybe the wrong one? And took the ground and mounted it to mounting bolt for the horn and took a much larger gauge wire to the negative terminal on a battery. Nothing at all, please help what do I need to do?
Thanks

from what i understand you had two wires from switch and you made one wire to the horn. one wire should come from pos. side of batt. to switch from switch to horn and then horn to ground. when you push button you close curcuit thus sending power to horn and beep beep. hope this helps. chris

Here is what I have the switch has 2 post I connected both of them and ran them all the way back to the horn area. One end had a spade terminal and I hooked that one to the horn. Then I hooked the ground to the bolt that holds the horn bracket then the other wire from the switch here as well. Then the wire hooked to the bolt went up to the batteries. They are hooked in series so I am lost on how to hook it up from there.

Remember that you CANNOT USE CART FRAME AS GROUND IN ANY ELECTRIC GOLF CART. You must run wire back to ground side of battery and or voltage reducer used. You cant use full pack voltage to operate any 12 volt accessories as they will burn up.
