ok so i wired up the hei module to my cart 92 ezgo 4cycle 295 robins, she runs poor, getting great spark, but like before she runs great with pedal barely pressed down anymore and sounds and runs rough like bogging down, so i changed plugs, wires, bought new carb set it not sure if she's getting to much or enough fuel, changed oil, fresh gas,set valves at .6 180lbs compression in both cylinders, but wont rev up before bogging down any takers ,nubs or anyone please thanks holler back thanks

i'd say its not getting fuel, pull the line at the carb and stick it in a can and spin it over for 15 or 20 seconds, you should end up with a 1/2" or more in a soda can.

well nubs i did the 20 sec test and got less than 1/2 of a soda can tested it 3 times still the same 1/4 of can then tested 1min of turning over and got 1/2 can full, the lines are pretty old ,hard, dry rotted and cracked gonna replace in the morning to c if that resolves my problem , it has run at a higher rpm if i hold pedal just right but as soon as i push further than half pedal she boggs down then when i let up she runs smooth again,,is there an aftermarket fuel pump like electric or ??? whats fuel psi supposed to be ?? thanks man i'm very thankful for your assistance we all are i'm sure

are you loosing power all together, like turnin' the key off? i think its a good idea to replace the fuel lines and the line from the block to the pump. have you tryed to run it with the cap loose on the tank, maybe the vent is blocked
you have everything you need to make it run so maybe its something odd like a collapsed line.

i'm hoping its something small or stupid, i'll update tomorrow but when running when pedal is barely pressed runs fine almost like at or just above idle, then if i give it anymore gas it just boggs down and starts popping/backfiring somewhat or like its running outta gas , i wish i could sell this setup and go with a good 16-24hp v twin lol

is the cart lifted, could be to much oil in the block. anything over 1.5 qts is to much

not lifted has nobby tires on rear but same size as front 18.50, changed oil and its just under full mark just a hair less than 1.5qts,i'm stumped fires right up runs just above idle when barely into gas pedal then anymore and it runs but sounds like a slow studder box instead of smooth its like putt, putt, putt, putt with no power but manages to stay running, what gap should plug be its at 30 now,and i set exh and int at .6, 180 comp in both holes, unless fire is dying at half to full throttle what u think,i put my inline spark tester on both wires and good strong fast spark on each ,don't have 2 testers to see if both are firing at same time what you think ????

i don't understand the white smoke, if the ignition was cutting in and out it wouldn't smoke white. did it alway run this way? how did it run before the ignitor went out. the plugs are gapped ok and the valves are good.
are we sure the muffler isn't plugged "not common but does happen, your sure the spark is good when it starts to stumble

didnt run at all when i got it,remember the ignitor wasn't firing and we talked about and spoke about msd box in place of factory ignitor then i found out about hei conversion ,its getting fire to both, but the closest cylinder to coil is firing good plug is black sooted somewhat, because cyl #2 is getting spark to cyl but exh on manifold is't getting hot if anyone wants to check to see if cyl's are burning fuel spray water on manifold per cyl to see if steam arises if not cyl is firing dead, but i got 190 comp in cyl thats firing and 180 in other thats not, could be valve adj. needed or burnt valve or ????? what do you think but i now know cyl #2 isn't burning fuel or something . anyone had this problem let me know what your input is thanks
