hi guys, my neighbors down the road got there hands on a harley, im not sure what year, but i think its a 70's model. they got it roughly 7 years ago to restore but havent touched it ever. it sat in theur drive wat for like 3 years, ever since its been in the woods. i remember when they first got it they were saying it had clucth issues. as the caroche is getting closer to being finished i'll be looking for another project. this harley probably hasnt run in over 15 years think it would be a good project? this one would be fixed to sell so i'd like to make a little bit of money. i have a honda 5HP laying around that i mite could do a swap with. this things in junk condiction are a dime a dozen here. what do you guys think?

I've done a handful of old harley's, and in my area, I couldn't make money on one if it was givin to me. well, I have made money on them, but they were in pretty good condition when I got them.

If you swap in the Honda motor, you won't have reverse......

well you'll ever make a buck on it, it will most likely need crank seals and carb work. paint, seat covers etc.. they sell for 250 to 500 running up this way. the honda will need a clucth also

yea, can you guys give me some tips on chooseing the next cart? if i wait i can get just about any cart under 90's for free. i honestly just want to buy and sell some stuff till i can get a workhorse. i'd rather not but i mite end up selling the caroche for a work horse. my ideal setup w3ould be a work hourse to use around the house and the caroche as a cruiser/show cart.

btw, the honda is out of a presure washer, would that give enough power?

if you go with something older than 90's, I would say club cars hold there value better than a ez-go & yami's from the eighties... Just my

If you are looking to make a buck, you probly need to stick with one of the big three.

ok thanks. im still consodering the harley as im pretty sure i could get it for $0-$50 and maybe get it running at bare minimal and sell it for maybe $200then thats atleast $150 to through into the next beater io pick up.

amazingly with how much my dad hates my ideas i told him about what i was thinking and he actually sounded fine with it so long as 10% of profits go to a bank account incase something bazzar happens and im in the hole.

before anything though i need to finish the caroche (i have all the things i need, just the time) and do some rebuilding to the barn so i have parking space to hold my new hobby.

i guess officaly addicted and can call myself a cartaholic

Ok. Been keeping a small eye out on craigslist and have been looking for gas carts because I think that it would be easier and cheaper to get running. What do you guys think?
