Hello guys, thanks in advance for all the valueable info. My ez-go has just started to sputter when you try to start it. Used it all week at the hunt camp, when my son came back from driving it approx. 5 miles round trip, it was running funny.......not revving up as high as it used to and did'nt seem to have as much power, not that it had that much to begin with. now it sputters and is very hard to get started. it runs o.k. when it does start, just with the issues previously mentioned. seems kinda like a fuel problem, but as i have learned, these things are'nt anything like workin on a small block so i'm kinda lost.

i have several of those and it seems the vacuum line that goes to the fuel pump will fill up with oil enough for it not to have a pulse, remove vacuum line on bottom of fuel pump and blow into the hose, you'll probably here some oil going back into engine. start there and let us know how it goes or not

tried the tube on the fuel pump......did'nt work........tried adjusting the valves....works like a champ!!! thanks guys. divot, have you done any mods to your gxt's?

no mod's there the courses carts. what did ya set them at? .006?

forgot to ask ya, did ya here any oil get blown back into the engine ?
there very tuff carts the old 804's

heard some oil goin back in. set the valves at .006. runnin great again. i have built a 5 inch lift for mine and run 22" tires. i love this old cart. ya jus cant beat it for runnin around the hunt camp.
