Had some time today before I head to the workshop for the day so I thought I would post a picture of my favorite guitar. I have 11 that I collected over the last 35 years but this one is special. First it belonged to my best friend of 35 years who passed away last year. His wife gave it to me for helping her liquidate all of his stuff. Its the steel string of a matched pair of guitars being a classical and a dreadnought serial numbers 99 and 100. My son plays classical and I'm an ole bluegrasser what ever style just love playing.

The guitar was built by Don Banzer an Ohio maker that died of lung cancer after only 200 instruments. Unless something drastic happens I will never sell this one.

Thank you, He left us last July and I still miss him dearly. The guitar not only looks good but it plays like a dream. I'll post some more detailed pictured of it soon. All inlay has very intricate etching and the nut has matching detail. The top is bear claw spruce and the back and sides are Brazilian Rosewood,

Bought another guitar tonight. A Custom built Stevie Ray Vaughan Signature Strat. It's a copy of a the Fender SRV guitar.

Thanks Gonzo. This guitar sounds great and plays like butter.

I'll be taking the pickguard off and putting a plain black or some other color on it. I don't want people thinking I think I'm SRV...

I've traded a couple here and there so I'm still around 20-22 I think.
