I put a 377 cc sled motor in my 88 club car, Im almost done and it really looks like its gonna go slow. I know the governor is on the rear axle, so is this what is keeping me from going faster? It is unhooked right now and I figured that would do it. Is there
more that I should do to keep the governor from doing anything. Basically.........How do I make it as fast as it should be?!?!?

On your original setup the governor would act on the throttle to slow down the RPM of the engine. Since it is unhooked on the new setup, it has no effect at all. If you are now slower than you used to be, then it could be your new engine turns lower RPM's than your old engine, OR, your clutches aren't working right anymore due to improper spacing or alignment.
