Golf Cart Controller Question

I have a question about CTS golf cart controllers. I know the Alltrax is considered the Cadillac of controllers, but I'm poor!
Has anyone had good look with the others that are on the market ?

Whats the word on the CTS controllers ?

I never used a CTS controller so I can't help much there. I always use Alltrax controllers whenever I'm replacing one.
GE and Logisystems both make good controllers...

I have a lifted PDS cart and depending on who I talk to, some folks say it is just a matter of time before my stock controller burns out others say in our flat environment I'm not going to have any problems ??

I figured I'd save up for one just in case. The Alltrax is nice but $425 + for the PDS 400 amp model is steep for a poor man like me. I spoke with the guy at CTS a month or so ago and he said his was $215, but non-programmable. There is some used Alltrax controllers on Ebay that are $310, but they only have a 90 day warranty instead of the normal 2 years.

You have a 50/50 chance in the flat areas with the stock E-Z-GO PDS controller on lifted golf carts. Thats 50/50 chance the controller will burn up. The stock E-Z-GO PDS controllers are so sensitive the slightest wrong move could burn it up. I live in Southern GA where it is flat also. I've Seen lots of lifted PDS carts have controller issues. My suggestion is to save up for the Alltrax, and use the stock controller until it burns up, then switch to the Alltrax.
