Go-Fore - Melex Golf Cart Issues!

I recently bought a cheap golf cart thinking to work on it in the off months. The only information I have found on the body and motor are Go-Fore Inc Model 410 Serial # 7-1100. It has a 2 stroke Kohler engine (K295-2AX) Serial # 501167 - 290cc. The engine exhausts out the front between the driver and passenger seats and is incredible loud. My wife won't drive it because she's embarrassed by the noise. Everywhere I go for parts no one has any info on Go-Fore's. I've burned up two belts already in one season. I was hoping to move the exhaust or re-route it out the back or sides somehow. Any suggestions or feedback would be appreciated.

Here are some pictures as requested. Have you ever heard of a Go-fore golf cart? Any info you can provide would be very helpful.

I worked on one years ago. It's basically a Melex 212 chassis but should have a Cuyuna engine in it. They are fast when running right and loud with the stock exhaust. Other than that I don't know much about them.

Hi, new here, I also just acquired a melex 410 go fore cart, I have a cuyuna 430 and your eng looks very similar, except the spark plugs run more at an angle....anyways, yes it is very noisy but very fast, my issue is it runs very hot and was hoping someone has any ideas or manuals on these

First, make sure you have the correct spark plugs in it. We gotta get these wives on board with cool vintage

They were made in Commerce Charter Twp, MI 48390. I worked at the factory back in the late 70’s or early 80’s. Melex carts chassis, the rest was built in house ( rear suspension and motor) all welded up and built in house. Not sure how many were built.
