gas versus electric

Going Tuesday to buy a new cart can someone give me some pros & cons on gas versus elect. Its for my dad to use around the house picking up limbs and riding to pond. There are a few wood trails (no mud) he likes to ride.

What do you think?

If it was me I would go gas they run forever on a tank of gas and you dont have to charge the batteries I think a gas one has more torque and power

you can run into a lot of additional expense if you go electric due to the batteries and other electrical components they are also more complicated to repair for some folks. i realy like gas some folks like electric because they are quieter.i would say try them both and let your dad take them for a spin also. good luck!

I'd say gas also, for what it sounds like he'll be using it for. The electric carts will do anything a gas cart will and actually the electrics have more pulling power. But with the gas cart you jump on and ride and don't have to worry about batteries and charging...

The Cart we are going to look at has an 11 hp Robin motor. I know nothing about this motor so help here is need also.

What year is the cart? If it's a TXT it should have a 9 HP Robin. If it's a RXV it should have a 13 HP Kawasaki.

2007 but still on the floor. i know he didn't say 13 but might have said 9 hp. don't remember the letters. i have not heard of the robin motor.

The Robin motor comes from Subaru. EZGo has been using them for years.
