These are a bit tricky. There are marks on the cam and balance shaft but there may only be one mark on the crankshaft.
I remember the crank being at tdc then point the cam and balance shaft marks at the center of the crankshaft.
Also may just be dots on the crank. I remember this engine being different than any engine I have ever timed.
I have the book for g9 and g2 service. g1 is in my head still.
