G22 question

I'll say hello to all. I'm new here and need a little help. I bought my wife a G22 for doing her gardening and want to install a cargo box. The instructions call for the accesss panel to be removed so that the original struts can be replaced. It appears that the fasteners holding the panel are rivets??? How do you remove them without causing damage? Thanks in advance, smoker

Smoker, usually the rivets have a pin in the center that you punch out and then the rivet can be pulled out. Be careful not to lose the pin and you can reuse the rivet, just reinsert the rivet and push the pin back in. Some had metal rivets that had to be drilled out. The plastic rivets are available at most golf car dealers. Hope this helps. Fishtale

Thank you fistale. That makes the job much easier. I'll keep you posted as to how this goes. Also bought her a radio console so she can listen to her music when gardening. That came with hardware for the G14/16. New stuff coming. smoker
