My G22 haze a delay half the time I try to take off.
When I give it the gas it sits there for a few seconds then it takes off like normal, and other times it just takes off like normal.
It runs fine one it takes off.

I charged the battery and checked the connections.

Any suggestions

The starter belt is tight.

The starter does not turn over until after a few seconds, would the brushes in the starter cause this?

I watched the starter when I pressed the gas paddle down, it did nothing for a couple of second, then it moved a little bit, then it took off as it should.

I took the starter out checked the brushes and cleaned all the connections.
Everything was in good condition.

I am in the process of charging the battery again.

Good deal!!

So it was a "low battery" situation. Most times, it is a "worn out carbon brush" or loose/broken/misaligned brush spring. Or poor ground on the solenoid side or starter gen side.

Good.
