Front Brakes

Has anyone tried to modify the Jakes front brake kit to fit an axle drop lift? I know thier lifted kit only works with thier spindle and they don't seem to think that the non-lifted kit would work, but I'm tempted to order and see if I can make it work on my 04 txt.

The kit for the non-lifted golf carts comes with spindles with the brackets on the spindle. If your drop axle uses stock spindles I dont see why the spindles wont work.

You might need to make longer brake lines.

Front disc brakes require the usage of 10" wheels.

Good catch Gorno... I figured he already has 10" wheels seeing how his cart is lifted.

Most have 10", but some (like my BIL) have 8" wheels still.

That's what I'm thinking as well. I do have 10" wheels so no worries there. I will post up if I do this soon and let you guys know how it worked.
