Freedom Vs. PDS

I have been looking at a 1999 Freedom, and a 2005 PDS to see what is a better buy. I will put a 5-6 inch lift kit, 20" or so, tires, and will want to take the cart (mildly) off road (deer lease) The 1999 has the lift with larger tires on stock wheels, with headlights, taillights, and 400 amp contoller. The batteries are the same age. Can anyone tell me which one is a better deal, or if one of these would be better suited for my purpose?

Welcome to the forum...

If the 99 Freedom has 1999 batteries you'll be needing to replace them soon if not right away.

If your going to use the cart off-road for hunting you may be better of with a EZGO TXT fleet (series) cart.

What are the prices on the carts?

The 1999 model, is being listed for $2495. Batteries are less that two years old. Lift kit (unsure of make)

EZGO DCS and PDS carts are regen carts. (SepEx motor)
EZGO PDS carts are a newer version of a DCS cart.
EZGO Fleet carts are non-regen carts. (Series wound motor)

A DCS cart will have the Forward and Reverse switch by your leg and a run tow switch on the controller cover.

A PDS cart will have the Forward and Reverse switch on the dash and a run tow switch on the controller cover.

A Fleet cart will have the Forward and Reverse switch by your leg and NO run tow switch on the controller cover.

More choices than i would have imagined.....Ok, now for the $64 questions.............Which of these models is the best, more durable, or most preferred? I'm guessing the answer may not be a one word answer, having to do more with how the cart will be used. This cart will never see a golf course. It will be ridden around the ranch, thru fields, some mud, over hills, not generally full throttle for miles- but good torque will be needed, more so that speed. Thanks for the previous relpys, I really do appreciate it.
