Or wait a few weeks and I will send you this one cause I am going to get a super trap or a stinger when I tear the engine down.
The one I got from the lawn mower place looks like that except it is about half as wide as that. I think there is something weird with my manifold because the outlet where the muffler clamps on to is right next to the starter. All of the other ones I have seen it is on the opposite side. I got the other muffler today and it didnt fit either although I didnt really ever have high hopes for it. So far the most difficult part of this engine swap has been finding the right muffler.

I didnt expect that.

Hey spriddle thats the look I'm going for. Eventually I'm going to get the ST front clip for it. I love how they look.

All right I guess I will have to do it the hard way and fab up my own manifold so the tin can muffler will fit. What kind of tubing should I use? Does it have to be exhaust tubing? I am thinking about using the manifold that came with the engine but modify it with a pipe going out the back where there is more room for the muffler. Any tips or ideas? Thanks

Oh where can I find a $50 bender?

One more thing the clutch is supposed to come in today. How do I get that pulley thing off?

Yippie the Comet clutch just came but for the life of me I cant get that darn pulley off the shaft. It wont budge at all. Is there a special clutch puller for it or do you just pound on the pulley untill it loosens? I'm afraid I might damage the shaft.

I would rather just get the correct muffler and manifold but the people at the lawnmower place I bought my muffler from just give me a stupid look when I say the muffler wont fit.

Ace, your stuff is bassackwards. If you are happy with a 1 inch manifold you should call Tulsa engine warehouse and get a rear facing one. I plan on making a 1.5 manifold that will exit from the rear of the cart. Just my opinion but I think you are wasting time trying to make that one do a 180 degree turn. If nothing else, cap off the front end and have your exit come from the middle. That way you are only makeing a 90 degree turn.

Well the engine and clutch is all bolted up.

I thought that I would be able to reuse the workhorse belt but it appears to be to short. Where can I get a belt for this? Thanks!

What is your distance from center of clutch bolt to center of the other clutch bolt? That webbie with the exhaust is going to be your best bet by the way!

need to know exactely the length from bolt to bolt. If i remember mine is 13 nd I use this belt. We need the exact measurement though!

It can be 13-15" exactly. The engine mount I have allows the engine to move back and forth unless I am doing something wrong.

I think that belt will work for mine. Is yours an EZGO? Thanks!

Edit- I think the belt I need is 1 3/16" wide. That one is 1-1/4". Could I use a wider belt? Its not much wider.

I just finished rigging up an exhaust system for the workhorse. I hadnt been working on this much since I got my new project cart but I had some spare time today. I used a junk muffler from another ezgo and cut the pipe off of the muffler about 6" from the flange that mounts to the manifold. Then I drilled it out to fit the briggs muffler and manifold and welded it. Basically I just needed an extender that would get the muffler away from the engine. It turned out pretty nice. I'll get some pics when I get a new camera.

Nope not yet it needs a belt first. I'm thinking about putting this engine in another cart though.

I just cant stick with one engine for this cart.

But I have plans that may be worth it.

The belt that is on our Ezgo 24 is off a snowmobile. I can't remember the size off hand but it was really long.
