EZGO TXT Heavy Duty Rear Springs

I am a noob to carting and need help on rear springs. I purchased a 2001 EZGO TXT last fall with a rear seat. Please understand alot of work done to this cart is not quality. The cart is lifted the rear with long shackles and the stock shocks. I know from looking around the springs need to be heavy duty. Should I use a 4 or 5 leaf spring??? This cart will be used at a campground only.

Welcome to the forum. I have the 5 leaf HD rear springs on one of my TXTs and I'm going to take a leaf out. They ride pretty harsh with no one on the rear seat. I've had carts with the 4 leaf HD springs and the ride is MUCH better and they still can carry a heavy load on the rear seat. I'd suggest the 4 leaf rear springs unless you plain on hauling some extremely heavy loads on the back of the cart...

Thanks alot for the info..I will be back for more.....getting ready to add head and taillights also.. Do you guys run an extra battery???

Some do, some don't. Depends on your useage of the cart and it's accessories.
