I have a 1999 36 volt cart, when I drive it, it seems to work fine then a lot of times when I press the pedal nothing happens. If I mash the pedal several times then it will go until it happens again it has always been kept inside my garage with a full charge on the batteries. Any help would be appreciated.

i would start by checking all connections at the batteries. Next high failure rate would be the solenoid. Check for burnt cable connections or high heat discolor where the battery cables hook up to solenoid.
Thank you so much I will check that.

How do I check that? It looks like its computer controlled.
1) you cannot have your foot on the pedal when you change directions
2) if the pedal is sticking or weak spring or etc. it has the same effect
so the next time it does that dont do anything else
just lean down and pull the pedal up
then try again
if it is sticking then clean the mechanism

I deal with this issue all the time a golf course. 9 times out 10 it is the throttle pedal. Sound like it will move when stomping on pedal I doubt very seriously that it is the switch on side of pedal. You probably have a bad spring along with the fact that the pedal probably needs a good cleaning. If you can't find the spring you can always go to auto parts store and buy oversized linkage sprink and make it work.
