Has anyone purchased stretch plans for an EZGO or know anyone who has? I'm interested in stretching my cart but I'm not sure I want to pay $90 just for some info. Please post if you've used or heard anything about these plans. Thanks

Here is one ad...

"Detailed plans on stretching a late model Ezgo golfcart. Step by step instructions from start to finish with detailed pictures at each step, a materials list with part numbers, all on computer printable cd. Plus cut out patterns. I guarantee these plans WILL save you a lot of time and money, (more than the cost of these plans) on just the center pod alone! I’ll show you how to modify a new or used rear cowl for the center pod, which makes for a more uniformed overall appearance. My carts are way stronger than the stock shuttles, a stronger drivers back rest, and all open storage by lifting the seat! The plans will enable you to complete the metal work in as little as 10hrs. Plans are for gas and electric 1995~2007 Ezgo TXT.dd $15.00 for shipping/handling in the continental US"

Here is another...

Step by step instructions on how to turn your Ezgo into a stretched limo six seater golf car. Detailed pictures, material list, all part numbers, and patterns, all on printable cd-r. Will show you how to do all the metal fab in as little as 10hrs. Will also show how to: center pod (way stronger than the stock Ezgo pod) create a pod for free, make the stock control cables work, throttle and brake control. I'll show you how turn your LATE model Ezgo (1996~2007) gas or electric into the ultimate limo cart for as little as $600.00 (this est. includes the cost of my plans, center pod assy, all metal, arm rests, seats, alum rockers, and more!). 30 yrs of experience in stretching golfcars! My carts are way stronger than the shuttle carts, a stronger backrest support and all open storage under drivers seat. Don't even use the stock Ezgo shuttle pod, they are junk and crack from a poorly designed mounting surface area, they have no storage capacity and most of all do not match the rear body, with little to no paint and graphics surface. All this for $75.00 plus $15.00 shiping and handling. You would spend more time just thinking about this project than my price! Thanks for your interest.

I'm sure there's people on the forum who will help you with stretching the cart for free. I wouldn't pay for the plans myself...

some people need plans... myself just cut and fabbed up an new frame... i know this guy says he has been cutting and stretching for 30 years but stretching what??? custom carts started about 15 years ago out here on the west cost then this guy doesnt have a shop her works out of his garage

it might be worth the $100.00 for the material list and steps to compare notes....

we get asked to do the flip front seat but for safty we dont recommend it for off road and stuff the seat bounces around....

We've taken a 99 EZGO, chopped the frame and added a 5-6' section of 1 1/2" stock steel to each side and three reinforcement crossbeams in between them all. The only thing we've had to modify was the brakes. We ran a piece of threaded 1/4" steel through a 5/16" pipe to prevent the new brake extension from rubbing on the crossbeams. Obviously, rigging up the frame for the front seat was a little more challenging but we chopped a dead cart and welded the seat frame in place as a fix for the front seats. We aren't at final draft phase yet but I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

2nd draft. Started out as @ 5 or so different stock 1 or 2 seat carts that we picked up at auction for @ $200. Chopped, modified, welded, scavenger from multiple trashed out carts and came up with this with a great deal of help from my father-in-law. Front seat back needs to be attached next. Looking to upgrade motor and controller when $ and time permit. Got @ $8-900 into it now total including 6 new batteries. Wife wants a roof. We'll see.

Looks great nice job!
A little longer than mine but I dont think much longer shouldnt be as bad turning as I first thought, I was under the impression that you were going to strech it 5 or 6 foot!

Nah, didn't go that far. 60" add was the measurement. Have debated going duallie on the rear tires with twin 24" x 12" x 12" tires though. Problem is the thing won't fit in the shed if I do without modifying the shed. Father-in-law wants to do a 4 x 6 EZGO next with dual drivetrains. Don't know if we'll follow through on either though. Besides, still have plenty of rough edges to work out on this one.

To clarify...
Yes I know 60" is 5'. Had to cut out @ 1' to 1 1/2' worth of rusted out metal at the beginning.
