EZGO ST 4x4 wont charge

I have checked the coil output it is 34-38 at high speed I replaced the regulator and it still wont charge battery If I remove the main white wire from the battery the motor quits.

i would go over the wiring first, it maybe a bad regulator

Thank you I found the problem an employee a few years ago had put a jumper wire in and it by-passed the wire to the batt. Works like a champ
