EZGO PDS Trouble Codes?

Hello!
I just got a 2003 PDS EZGO and I'm cleaning it up, testing battery's, paint etc. and my question is I did the dignostic test and it only beeped once. What does that mean if anything?
Thanks

When you put the cart in diagnostic the first beep(s) are letting you know which "chip" is installed on the controller. One beep means you are on the all terrain setting. One you get the first beep you need to drive the cart to see if any other codes pop up...

I've been driving it around and then did the test with only one beep or do you mean after the beep go drive it and do the test again?

Yes after you get the beep you need to drive the cart. The beep is only letting you know what setting the controller has installed and that your in diagnostic mode.

Put the cart in diagnostic mode. After the initial beep that tells you which chip is installed immediately drive the cart for a few minutes. During this drive listen for any more beeps being sure to count them. If you don't get any beeps during that test drive your cart is fine.

Glad to hear you have no problems with the cart...

One other thing is I discarged all the battery's and fully charged the system after topping them off with Distilled water. I checked the Voltage and it was a 36.5 volts then I checked each battery with a load tester and they all stayed at about 6.00-6.08 give or take. But how long should the cart run before it goes dead again?

From the figures you supplied, your pack is only 50% charged. Are you letting the charger shut itself off?

What brand of batteries? How old?

Trojan's in a 2003 cart, so I guess original? Yes I let the charger shut off, what should the voltages be?
Can I do anything with what I have like the battery reconditioning?

Probably original Trojans. There are codes stamped into the lead platform of each post. They define when the batteries were made. Check those out and we can confirm how old they are.

A fully charged 6v GC battery should be 6.37v, a fully charged 36v pack should be 38.20v.

As for battery recovery, it might buy you some time, but spent batteries are spent batteries. And besides, who knows how well they were maintained before you got the cart? There is a ton of info at Trojan's website about battery useage and maintainence.

E3 is stamped on the leads. I just went out to check the # and it is charging we when I lifted the seat it sounds like the Battery's are gurgaling or bubbling in side...wtf is that normal????

E3 would be May of 2003.

The gurgling you hear is normal to a point. It's the batteries gassing. The older batteries get the more they usually do it. As long as none of the batteries are warm you should be OK.

Like Gorno said the voltages you posted seem low. Let the batteries charge until the charger shuts off, wait a hour and take individual voltage readings with no load and post your numbers...
