Welcome to the forum.

Can you hear the solenoid click when you press the pedal? If not the solenoid may be stuck.
Does the cart have any 12 volt accessories like lights, radio, etc? If so take a digital volt meter and check the batteries the accessories are connected to and see if it's only those batteries that are being drained.

You can also try putting the cart in diagnostic mode and see if you get any codes. The instructions should be on the controller cover. If not there's instructions and codes in the EZGO Resource Forum.

I have been going threw the other post's and came across the solenoid click test, i'll try when I get home. I did install head lights and my idea for checking them is to unhook them overnight and see if that helps. The "diagnostic mode" the way I understand it only works if you have a beeper, mine does not.

Sorry it took so long. Army has been keeping me busy. Finally figured it out. I put a full charge on the batteries, disconnected the lights I installed and the next morning, I still had a full charge. I did loose a little, but not near as much as before. Next, I need to figure how to wire the lights correctly. My neighbor helped me wire the lights but he is 99 years old and I am sure he has forgotten more than I will ever learn. Thanks for the help.

You can use two of the carts batteries for 12 volts or run a separate 12 volt battery for the accessories. Just remember no grounding to the frame, run the ground back to negative on the batter you use. Here's a link to a factory accessories wiring diagram that uses two of the cart batteries for 12 volts.

Update. I am not an electric smart kind of guy so I'll explain as best I can. Put a full charge on the batteries and checked each one. Then I put the cart up aganst a wall and gave a little gas, this is what I got.

1. 6.30 w/ gas 5.83
2. 12.63 w/ gas 11.94
3. 18.81 w/ gas 18.01
4. 24.90 w/ gas 23.72
5. 31.25 w/ gas 28.87
6. 37.5 w/ gas 35.05

At this point I am thinking Batteries 5 and 6 need to be replaced. I can olny get about 45 to 60 minutes of driving until the cart looses power to the point of "lets get it home and on the charger". I am hoping all the batteries do not need to be replaced but I know the cart should last longer than 45 min.

Definitely not a good idea to put the cart against the wall and push the pedal. It's hard on the motor and the rest of the electrical system.

As far as battery voltage goes it would be a lot easier if you hooked you meter to each battery separately and took your readings. You don't need to unhook any cables to test them that way. Try that and post your results. Are the lights hooked to battery 5 and 6?

No, lights ar powered by batt.#2 and grounded to batt.#1. I have a disconnect hooked up now so I only plug them in when I need them. Seems to work fine.
How do I check for bad batteries with a load. My thinking is if I have 1 or more batteries going bad, that would be the reason the will not last long while in use???

I hook my meter to each battery and drive a little to see how low the voltage drops. Do you know how old the batteries are? If they're Trojans there's a date code on the negative terminal.

OK, figured out how to test all the batteries, found that all but two have one or more bad cells and basically all need to be replaced. Was able to get a good deal on three batteries (100 bucks a piece) and have to wait until Batteries Plus recieves three more. Did put full charge on new and old batteries and drove all day. I emagine all will be better when all six batteries are replaced. Hard on the wallet but will pay off in the long run. Thanks for the help, I'm sure i'll be asking for more in the future, like where to get good deals on stereos, speekers, stering wheels and colum covers. Thanks again.
