EZGO Marathon Electric Golf Cart Reverse vs Forward

I have restored my 79 3 wheel EZGO Marathon golf cart. New electrical parts include new micro switch and solenoid as well as batteries. When I put everything back together everything works great except when I put it in reverse it goes forward and in forward it goes in reverse. I didn't unhook wires on controller or accelerator. I did disconnect motor wires. I reversed wires on solenoid and got same result. Same on micro switch. I traced all the wires to make sure they matched my drawing - they do. I reversed the series wiring on the batteries with the same result. I thought about reversing motor wires but can't find a wiring diagram that tells which wires control motor direction. Any suggestions?

Did you have the cables disconnected on the forward and reverse switch? It's either the cables on the f/r switch or the motor that's wired wrong.

I had the wires on the motor off. There are 4 wires on the motor. Two on the front and two perpendicular to them. The two on the front are have voltage when the key is on. The othe two do not. Which two should I change?

The wiring diagram I have doesn't tell what the wires do. I don't want to burn the motor up. Thanks!

The motor should be marked A1 A2/S1 S2 by the 4 studs. Swap the S1 and S2 and the motor should run the correct direction then.

It worked. Now when you put the selector in "F" it goes forward and in "R" it goes in reverse. It's probably my imagination but it seems faster as well. Thank you for your help!
