EZGO Marathon Doesn't Always Run When I Press the Throttle Pedal

I have a 1992 EZGO Marathon electric golf cart the doesn't always run when I press the pedal. The problem I am having is sometimes it will run when I push the throttle pedal, then sometimes it won't move at all. Any ideas on the problem?

9 out of 10 times intermittent problems like that are a bad cable or connection at the batteries or the forward and reverse switch. Other things you can check would be the key switch, solenoid, micro switches, contacts in the forward and reverse switch.
