EZGO Losing Power Going Up Hills

I purchased a brand new gas EZGO 6 passenger cart about 2 months ago. This was our 4th trip using it and having some issues losing power going up steep hills. The first trip had no issues and drove it on the exact same hills. The vehicle starts losing power once we get about 3/4 way up the hill and starts sputtering or missing (may not even the be steepest part of the hill, but it's been climbing for 200 yards by this point) and will eventually just die. The orange light came on near the gas gauge after it died. I looked up the orange light in the manual and it's the oil light. I checked oil and it's good. I waited a minute or so and restarted it, the vehicle barely moved and once we got to the top of the hill it was fine. Spoke to the dealer and his only suggestion was to adjust the governor, which I did this last trip. After adjustment, the cart did NOT die and eventually made it up the hill but it still was sputtering or missing when it's trying to climb the hill. I spoke to another EZGO 6 passenger owner in our same neighborhood and told me their cart goes slow up the hill (which I would expect) but hasn't died or isn't sputtering (also they have NOT adjusted the governor). Also I don't even have it fully loaded, driving it with 2 or 4 passengers, never have had more than 4 passengers, I'm driving it on paved roads. Any suggestions? It's like its not getting enough fuel. Tank is fairly full, we started with full tank on first trip and maybe have an used about 1/4 tank of fuel. The dealer I bought it from is 5 hours away from our vacation property. So not real easy to take it back. If I do take it back to be looked at the dealer, they don't have a hill to test it on, so not sure what they could find wrong.
Any help greatly appreciated

It sounds like a fuel problem and I don't think adjusting the governor is going to solve anything. I'm actually surprised a EZGO dealer would tell you to adjust the governor.
My guess would be the float is set to low and causing the cart to starve for fuel when is on a incline but there's other things that could cause it to.
Do you have a EZGO dealer closer you could take it to? If not I'd be making the 5 hour trip and let the dealer sort it out.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately closest dealer is 200 miles from our vacation house. So I guess I'll be bringing it back to the dealer I purchased it from, near my primary residence. The very first trip it ran perfect when the tank was FULL, now The gas tank is at maybe 3/4 tank. Only 1/4 tank used, do you think if I filled it to a FULL tank it may run normal until the tank drops a little?

If there's a problem with the pick up in the tank it may run OK with a full tanks of gas. It wouldn't hurt to try filling it up to see. It would help narrow down the problem if the cart runs fine with a full tank of gas.

Not to sound stupid, but is the float and pick up the same? Or are these two different parts with different functions? Are these fairly easy to adjust or do they need replaced? Thinking might be easier for me to try and check and adjust or replace them myself rather than dragging it back to the dealer. Your diagnosis sounds correct with it starving for fuel. I haven't been back to our vacation home to try filling the tank up as a test as well. Trying to get up there this coming weekend. I think I will set the governor back as well. When the dealer told me to adjust the governor, I adjusted it little and than test drove it, made about 4 adjustments until I got it to max and it still was sputtering. Obviously had a little more power going up the hill. I think I will put the governor back from max. From what I'm reading not good on the engine with governor adjusted beyond factory settings. What's the sweet spot for its adjustments? Any help greatly appreciated
