ezgo gxt 804 brake adjustment

does anyone know how to adjust the brakes on a ezgo gxt 804?? got it runnin good, now stoppin is an issue. thanks guys.

the old 804's have a automatic adjustment, like the old school cars, go in reverse and slam on the breaks, not to fast, the front end will come off the ground, or just take the tire off and there is a access hole in the hub to manuelly adjust the brakes, adjust them so the brake hub bearly rubs the shoes, also, you could adjust the spring right underneath the floor board, just take the slack out of the cables

over time the cables will stretch and sometimes frey. examine your cables at each end where it goes into the cable housing. You are looking for any broken strands in the cable. If you see any - replace! Don't scimp on brakes!

How do you know if the brakes need replacing. Before I shut it down for the winter the brakes sweeked when stopping..

The only way to know the condition of the brake shoes is to pull the drums and take a look.
