EZGO Golf Cart Won't move after awhile of driving.

I have a 1997 EZ Go gas cart. Upon driving cart for a short while it will stop moving in either forward or reverse. Motor will run fine but cart willnot move. I am guessing it is either the clutch or clutch driven. How do you tell which one is the problem?

ok lj, i have a few questions, will the cart roll when the engine stops moveing the cart? if it does, take the seat off and sit on the edge of the seat rest and give it gas enough to engage the drive clutch, it should pull into the drive belt. your cart is a 97 it depends on how much use it has gotten, maybe the weights inside the drive clutch are hanging up. will the engine try to rev up when you step on the gas, or is it sluggish?
