EZGO Golf Cart Doesn't Have Power It Used To

Here I am again. This time is my 1989 EZGO golf cart doesn't have all the power that it used to have. There is 5 brass knobs on the throttle would that cause it to not go as fast as before or maybe something else? Thanks

Make sure all the contacts are making a good connection. You may also have a battery problem.

New batteries make a big difference. Just put new ones in my Gem car and couldn't believe the difference.

if the one that all by itself is loose would that make it slow?
