EZGO Gas Golf Cart Not Firing

My gas EZGO golf cart is not firing. Problems started when I changed brushes in starter / gernerator because battery was dead. later discovered battery was dry of water, maybe because of bad rectifier. I installed new rectifier. Spark from coil was weak, so I installed new coil. Cart cranked and ran great for a day. Now it won't fire. How do I check igniter? Any suggestions

Did you check the charging voltage with a digital meter after installing the new regulator? there is no test for the igniter that i know of. Those igniters can not take more then 16 volts for very long, fairly common problem on carts that have the governor turned up.

Thanks Nubs. I suspect the generator was putting out too much voltage. The relatively new brushes were worn down and the water was cooked out of battery. I'll replace the igniter. I did check voltage after installing brushes and rectifier. it was 14.7
