EZGO Battery Charger Clicking Noise

I have a 2002 EZGO TXT golf cart, and the battery charger is not working properly, it's making a clicking noise. When I plug in the charger turns on but the needle reads 0% and some times the needle clicks back and fourth on and off from 0% to about 5%.

Do I have a bad charger or is it a wiring problem under the seat?

What model charger is it? It could be the charger, bad battery or bad connection. I'd start with taking individual voltage reading on the batteries. Also check to make sure they don't need water. Can you try the charger on another cart?

Its a Power Wise Charger??

I filled the water level in the batteies today, they were a little low, still saw water from the top, little under 2 inches down from the cap.

Is your Charger an automatic or is it a timer set model model ?
If it is automatic it may think the batterys are fully charged. Try another charger an see if it works or not !

Adding water to batterys that are very low will cause them to have a diluted acid PH .If the batterys are to low on some chargers they will not charge !

If the battery pack voltage is to low the Powerwise charger won't turn on at all. Seeing how the charger turns on its either the charger, bad battery or bad connection. How low on water were the batteries? Were the plates exposed?

water level was at the top of the plates 5 out of 6 the 6th was about 1/4 inch below the plate. All 6 are now topped off and I will try to re chagre after running cart tonight.

Impossible to say what "normal" is. Depends on usage, charging profile, ambient temperature, humidity, etc. Until you get a better feel for them I would check them weekly.
