EZGO 2 Cycle Engine Runs In Reverse But Won't Start In Forward

I am working on an 1985 EZGO 2 cycle. The engine runs fine in reverse but won't start in forward. Can any one tell me what the problem may be?

Start with a compression test. The 2 strokers run in both directions and will wear faster in the forward rotation. Do the compression test with the throttle wide opened.

got the compression test forward was 42 reverse was 90 any suggestions what to do

It's time for a rebuild. 100 lbs is about the minimum compression the 2 strokes will run decent on. The compression should be at least 120 lbs on a healthy EZGO 2 cycle engine.

I think the good side of it should be around 115?? Either way 40 something is way to low and 90 is on the low side to!!
