but I've never really messed with small engines. Tweeks like adjusting the air fuel mixture, ect. When I'm crusing uphill slightly about 15 mph and nail it, it seems like the engine response is kinda flat. It's got about 90 hours on the hour meter so it's not like my drive belt is worn (is it?). No I have'nt taken the belt cover off yet to look at it. I plan on changing the oil today, maybe I'll have time to look at it. The wife has got a bug so I'm staying home to take care of her, i love family sick leave

Is this Honda a stock application?
Could you take the gov. off and have your throttle connect directly to the carb? That is how I have my 18 Briggs set up and I have instant response.

I guess I could. So, the pivot bracket assembly with the gov spring the throttle cables are connected to can be removed all together? cool. For some reason, I thought the shaft the bracket was mounted on went through to the drive train somehow. It's just a pivot shaft, correct?

My carts going out of warranty April 1st. Mod time

Well, never having seen your set up I can not say anything about it. And the Briggs I bought had no gov. set up on it. Frank/Walkingtall at Alpha Carts sells a 24 Honda. He may have something for you. He is who I bought the throttle set up for my Briggs from. He is a nice guy and will go out of his way to help you.

HRC must be out of town or he would have jumped in. He understands this stuff. You betcha.

Here's a pic of Fairlanes throttle setup on his cart with the 25 HP Honda. Honestly I'm not sure if the Honda 18 HP is the same setup though.
