i have a 97 club car with clock wise rotation i was wondering about a bigger motor for it im not scared of modification but what would work and have the same rotation and not make me have to refinance my house to afford it

Big Block Vanguard conversion.

You have to run the rearend backwards. It's a torque monster with stock gears or you can change to 8:1's to regain speed...

how much is a vanguard motor has anybody ever done something different than that like a diesel

Prices vary on Vanguards. CPP has a bolt in kit. There are all kinds of options if ya wanna do the grunt work to fit and fab.

i do fab work and welding for a living so i am not scared of grunt work i just want to know what would fit and not waste my money on some thing that would be to big or not work and you said runing the axle backwards for the vanguard do u turn the axle around or just turn the pully the oposet way

you run the cart in reverse to go forward

would the factory club car clutch still work turning the wrong way or do u need a new clutch

I believe you need a new one.

its not turning the wrong way but the rear pully on a cc is very narrow so it should be change to match thye belt that you would run....

The ramps would be backwards.
