engine change

Fairlane

HRC, I'm thinking about swapping the motor in the Fairlane. I have a new .080 over 390 truck block with a nasty solid cam alum CJ heads intake and alum water pump. NOS 427 rockers and such. I built it for a T-Bolt clone but some guy came waving a fist full of $$$$ and took the car home with him and didn't need the motor. I've never messed with big blocks before. I just want to see how this thing runs. What do you think??

I've never done much with Ford engines but it sounds like a good combination to me. Their's only one way to find out for sure. Put it together and give it a try.

I think I will. I just want to see if I did it right. I also want to hear it run before I sell it. The engine that is..

. SELLING THAT CAR WOULD MAKE ME CRY!!! BUT IF ITS TEMPORARY YOU CAN ALWAYS PUT THE ORIGINAL MOTOR BACK IN IT AND CLEAN THE MELTED RUBBER OFF OF THE QUARTER PANELS

It doesn't have the orig engine now. Fact 289 but now a 420 hp Windsor small block. Was thinking about the big block.
