Few people from work have decided to settle there ego differences with Electric golf cart racing. I being one of them is looking for information on any tip,tricks, etc. New to this so go easy on me. First question: where are some good places to purchase parts to do modifications.

We lost the race, but what you don't see is the motor shutting down at mid track with enough force to finish the 1/8 mile. we had spent about four hours the night before changing out the rear gear. It was to much & it had put us on our rev limiter.

SOME OF THE GUYS THAT BUILD THE PERFORMANCE AC MOTORS TOLD ME THAT THEY NEVER HAVE AND NEVER WILL PUT HIGH SPEED GEARS IN THEM BECAUSE THEY ALREADY GO TO FAST!!!!! :thumbsup:

Radicalgolfcarts Hello!!!!!!!!

I build AC golf carts that can run as much as 63 mph in the 1/8 mile to 63 mph less than 100 ft.
And it's all done mostly with the differential gear. In my drag cart I use a 6:1 gear. I wish I had a 4:1 gear. The AC motor will only turn the rpm's that is set by the controllar. Nothing else can manipulate the rpm's. I am drawn to the AC motors strictiy for it's raw power.

On 130-volts I am only turing my motor at 9k. No matter what gear I have in. Besides, In the world of performance, there is no such statment as {GO too fast}

What kind of cart do you have? Have you done anything to it yet and if so what? These things will help in figuring out what you can do with it.
Some basic things to start with:
Cables make sure you have them clean and nothing is broken or about broke.
Calibration of the Throtlle make sure when it's wide open that it's all the way.
Tires are pumped up good and tight for less friction. Take the top off and support's for the race.
If you need anymore help just ask.
