Electric 2006 EZGO TXT PDS Not Moving At All

I have gotten some amazing answers about my 2006 EZGO TXT PDS golf cart…and Thank You…This an issue that is perplexing me…could be motor burnt out, controller too hot, or whatever else I have not dove into. I fixed the cart to prime level because of your answers. Last week at camp not one issue 10 miles of driving or more, then got home still had charge used then plugged it got it back up to 38.2 volts sent it on to camp. I couldn’t go to much work to do. When it got home 1/2 of battery meter left (have simple green to red squares) so I took it to neighbors for work (design and build playsets) and drove back. It sat in the heat for 5-6 hours. While off no radio or other accessories (now on seperate 12v with kill switch) and kids took it out and it was not moving at all…towed it back to workshop, check pack volts…33.6v…hit the tow / run switch off while check the pack turned back to run and it moved out but could see it slowing so immediately back to shop…can the days heat affect controller to go into thermal protection, I asked about amount of kids on it at camp…I know TXT is about 500 lbs of capacity, so battery pack, lift, tires, et all…hoping not motor burnout…I am going to look for motor reset… if need be … and suggested… but any sound advice from you folks???

When you switched the batteries, were they lead acid? Did you replace with the same kind? If you went to lipo or lithium ion you would need a new charger.

Thanks much I will leave it on for a while more …the last full charge was up to 38.2…also the batteries hold a charge just fine, lipo gone back to lead acid and we shall see… but i do have a 3 inch body lift and 23x10.5x12 tires…looks like it is all stock…controller and motor so if it ran fine before should still be fine and will leave it on charger longer… and see …if not …i do have a local place to get an upgraded 500amp controller, solenoid and motor….alltrax

5 amps isn't much, as said, it'll take a long long time. Check to make sure the charger will shut off when the batteries are full. I imagine it will, but,,,,

As suspected the charger takes about 48 hrs to put a full charge and it dies turn into a tender when it hits full…so yes all is good…I now know all this and it dropped to 33 volts the cart shuts down to prevent battery damage … the last weekend camping charged it fully left Friday - Sunday and it ran perfect and no issues probably put 10 or more miles on it and cane home on the trailer with over half charge still going strong… thank you to all who responded i have come to the end of this journey and have the perfect EZGO and learned a bunch ..👍

I have a 2003 EZGO TXT PDS cart doing much the same thing. Had the controller rebuilt no help. Put the curtis controller in diagnostic mode, error code 32, main short. The cart, when it runs, runs slowly at walking speed, sometimes not at all. The motor armature and field windings are on spec at less than an ohm. However, armature and field to case are k ohms and should be megohms. The curtis spec on a1 to case is greater than 50 megohms, mine is 15.7 k ohms. I believe the leakage currents to case are screwing up the curtis controller. Ordered a new motor, not looking forward to that.
