after failing miserably to get this off and actually making it worse

I found a guy who hooked me up with a much better looking stick to fix my problem.

While picking up my wife's car today from the body shop (she hit the mailbox) I asked the owner how much it would cost to have the sticker sanded off and the spot repainted and he said since it took 2 trips for the car to be right he would do it for free, what to do ???????????

I think I'll let him fix it right on Friday instead of hiding it behind a sticker !
