E-Z-GO 36 Volt Three Wheeler Intermittently Stops Running

I recently purchased a 98 EZ go three wheeler. Put new batteries and cable in and it goes but intermittently cuts out. You also have to depress the pedal almost completely to activate the motor. Once moving the motor goes out and comes back on. It seems that if you let off the pedal and start from scratch it will work for a short time. It also seems it malfunctions more the further you depress the pedal.

Check the tag in the passenger glove box and post the man. code. If your cart is 3-Wheeler its not a 98.

It is m2598. Someone else told me that the 98 in that meant it was a 1998. EZ go wont reply to my emails. Do you have any idea what the problem may be? Alex

somethings not jiving out with that number. Can you post a picture of the cart? If it has a pot box for the throttle its probably bad. There is a test for it but until we know exactly what you have its hard to diagnose.
