Drag Racing Golf Carts In California

made 4 passes and then something broke

3 pass was the best pass of the day 10.45@ 57.48 mph ill post time slips and video tomorrow

at this point dont know

i think controller but one of my guys seen a big flash in the motor so it could be both.... ill test the contactor and then pull motor have my guys look and test it before i send the controller to Jim so see...

I thought the ET would have dropped more. I guess 150lbs more batts equalized the voltage drop reduction and extra amps. This was you driving though, not the 130lbs kid? .3 difference between you 2.

well they tested the motor and it ran on the test dyno great and they pulled it apart and everything is great... so we will send the controller back and have it looked at

well i would want the motor to be bad before the controller.... we will install the alltrax and see if it runs before i send the logi back to jim...

well we have figured how to give the green cart a deit....

we are making a moly front drop beam to lower with out blocks and lighten it
12" spindle mount wheels
remove the stainless shock cover and rocker panels
remove the steel controller mount and floor
moly solid rear axle mount ( removeing the 4 leafs and shocks should save alot)
smaller seat back
new moly wheelie bar

with out cutting the chassis not sure what else to do....

we might make a bolt on solid mount for the front beam but i will try it first with shocks and see what the total weight is
i want to run 9.99 ets with me or the 100 pound lighter kid....

plus im not sure if the pro mod cart will be done for the sand drags at the end of oct so we will run the green cart..

got the new rplacement controller in today... its installed and we are loading up and going to track to test it out.... want to see if it works as good as it did before it blew up.... if it does then we will swap out the motor with the bigger one and test it... and maybe bump up the voltage a little and see what happends....

this is with the green cart... we are taking the chassis cart for show and to see tech also we are takeing a yamaha blaster quad set up for drags and see what it can do....

we have done some alum work trying to lighten up the cart.... should finish the moly drop front beam today and we will be working on the rear leaf spring delete next
