my choices for a 400 amp solinoid are a 3 amp diode, or a resitor precharge. what is the difference and do i need both. this is a 05 ezgo pds with alltrax 500 dcx and d+d motor, running 48 volts. i have a 48v hd solinoid, but i am going to change it with a hd 400 amp. the diode i am currently using is one from my stock pds solinoid. i am thinking i should have upgraded this as well, but do not know the difference from diode to resistor. any help would be great. thanks.
