to bend aluminum diamond plate for rockers and such it is easy to do if you first measure the full width needed for side and top , then cut it to width and length either with a jig saw or a skill saw with a metal cutting blade .
then take 2 pieces of 2x8 or any 2" thick lumber wider than the part to be bent put 1 on top & 1 on bottom of metal and screw the boards together , careful not to go through the metal ( that's why the boards need to be wider than the metal inside ) then take another short piece of board and a hammer and bend the short side that is left sticking out in the correct direction .
or get out some $$ and take it to a shop that has a shear and bender .
