Debugging HELP! Silverwolf Teekon Conversion Kit With DS Harness, & Smart Module

Hello All,
I'm having trouble with my Club Car DS wiring harness and Silverwolf Teekon AC motor conversion kit. As some of you may know the kit comes with a 12 HP AC-PM AC-PERMANENT MAGNET MOTOR, ASI BAC8000 840 AMP AC CONTROLLER, VEHICLE MODULES WITH BUILT-IN PLUG ‘n PLAY. These are the following connection I made:
  1. Light green and pink to tow/run switch
  2. Blue, green, white, purple/white, yellow to MCOR
  3. Brown, orange, blue to FNR switch
  4. B+ to solenoid to right side of solenoid, pink wire to battery side of solenoid
  5. Precharge resistor 475 ohms, 10W resistor across the solenoid contactors
  6. Blue/white and light blue to coil of solenoid
  7. B+ on left side of solenoid to + side of controller
  8. B- to - on HV battery
  9. Reverse buzzer not connected, no OBC or OBC connections.
I was having trouble with the smart module not providing B+ to pin 9 of the controller, which is necessary for the BAC8000 to turn on. To fix this issue, I snipped the pin 9 connection and connected it via a jumper to B+. This allowed both the vehicle smart module and the BAC8000 LED's to light up solid red which means the controllers are ready. However, I noticed that the controller doesn't show up in the Bluetooth compatible Silverwolf app when the key is in the on position, when I turn the key off the controller instantly appears, but when I select the device, it states "You've selected a vehicle that is not compatible or is having communication issue. You may try again or select a different vehicle."

I also noticed that there doesn't seem to be precharging, as the solenoid immediately closes when the key clicks on, and I read somewhere that the solenoid usually closes when the throttle is depressed. The battery is around 50% charge and is reading 52.6V consistently

I have attached below a schematic labeled "Wiring Harness Diagram" that I was told to follow by the individual that sold me the harness, as well as other documents you may find useful

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Did you ever figure out the problem. I am having a similar issue. Keep getting the cart not compatible error. Thinking I have an issue with my throttle but don't know if that would cause the connection issue.

Little background on my cart. It is a Chinese Club Car clone, 2020 model from Axoiang. It originally came with a cheap chinese PMAC motor and Curtis AC controller (had the big three row connector for the controller on the harness). So it was not wired with a standard Club Car DC or Precedent harness. I really wanted to put the silver wolf system on it, so I ordered it and made a new harness for the cart based off the same pinouts used for club cars with the curtis 1510 controller. I am an electrical/electronics engineer so I figured I should be able to figure it out. And my company makes small boats for the US navy so i have all the wire, tools, crimpers, etc.. to fab the harness. So I wired the new harness exactly like a Club Car precedent minus the OBC charger interface. (Pin 5 on the 16 pin Molex connector).

The issues I am having is that when everything is wired up per a Precedent schematic, the controller turns on and blinks an error code. Also, the Silver Wolf app will not detect the controller in bluetooth. I then went back and unplugged the throttle pot and pedal switch and the contactor coil solenoid wires (pins 1,2, and 3 for the throttle and pin 12 for the contactor coil return) and the controller powered up with solid red led and I was able to see the Bluetooth on my app. But when the app trying to connect, it give me the cart not compatible error/ communication error like UCIRACER saw.

My thought is that when the controller powers up, it goes out and checks the signals on the individual pins of the 16 pin controller and expects to see certain voltage levels at each pin. If pin signals are not as expected, I am thinking it locks out the controller for safety reasons. I think I may have wired the throttle pot backwards on the high and low connection to the wiper. Also, I think the controller is probably checking pedal release (0 throttle signal) voltage and should be at a certain voltage range at idle (i.e... .3 to .5 volts). So I need to check both of those things.

Another possible issue is the OBC input to Pin 5. My cart does not have an OBC. Just a standard 48V on board aftermarket charger. I did run 48V feed from the output side of the tow switch to provide 48V to the controller Pin 5 just in case, but I don't know if that is actually required. I am about to head back to the shop and dig a little deeper. I am pretty sure the issue is on my wiring end. I double checked all the other connections to the 16 pin molex (F/R, Aux 48V in, Key 48V in, contactor coil return, etc...) and pretty sure all those are correct.

I talked to SilverWolf last fall about putting their system on my non standard Club Car Clone cart and knew it was something I was going to have to figure out since they only support production club car wiring carts. But I figured if I made my own club car harness I could get it to work. Obviously I have missed something somewhere. But one way or another, I am gonna get this bad boy motor up and running.

Yea... thinking my controller may be bad. Never does same thing twice. Sometime I power it up and no errors but cart wont work or bluetooth connect. Power off and back on...error codes flash but bluetooth tries to connect. Whats strange is that when bluetooth is connecting. The percentage jumps around ...up and down...but never hits 100%. May hit 80%.. then down to 50%...then back to 90%...etc.. all over the place. Then gives me compatibilty error. Power off and back on. Cart wont connect. Double checked all my wiring and it is good. Also.. controller flashes some really wied codes. Cant match them to the controller troubleshooting guide for the led error codes.

Need to call silverwolf and see if controller may be bad. Or the interface board.

Hello,
I unfortunately never got the issue resolved, but we had similar behavior with the percentage jumping around. I recommend emailing Silverwolf, I called and left multiple voicemails over the course of a month and got no reply. The only way I got into contact was emailing them, and to be honest it was not very useful for troubleshooting.

I ordered mine through Extremekartz. They seem pretty responsive when I email them. I will go through them first. Info on the controller is very vague on the net. Not a lot out there showing how they operate. Not much in silverwolfs website of troubleshooting either.
