dead cart

My cart died on the course. brought it in the shop and found out the cables were loose on the motor, the white cable was broken and looked to have shorted to ground. i repaired the cables but still dead. [no clicking noises or nothing] I replaced the controller from my buddies running cart, still nothing. I checked the solenoid and when i put a volt meter on the + side [small wires] it reads 48 volts but when i check the - side it reads only 30 volts. like it isnt grounding good enough thru the controller. I jumped the - side to ground and the solenoid clicked but that was all. wondering if their isnt something else shorted or a fuse i dont know about. Also both wires on the run/tow switch are hot [48volts] no matter witch way the switch is. any help would be greatly appreciated. spring is coming! thanks, john

did the cart run when you jumped the solenoid? did you jump the large post on the solenoid?

I didnt know about the computer fail safe mode.You need to unhook both battery cables to reset. The Cart works perfect. Thanks Anyway.
